Are They Effective? An Audit of Social Accountability Mechanisms in Local Government Processes in Uganda
This report presents findings from a study undertaken to interrogate the status of social accountability mechanisms in local government processes in Uganda, which focused particularly on the health, education and water sectors. The study, which was conducted in the districts of Bushenyi, Iganga, Kayunga, Kumi, Kyenjonjo and Mbale, used a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods.
