“Here, When You Are Poor, You Die”: Healthcare on Sigulu Islands
This report, focuses on Sigulu islands, an amalgamation of islands in Namayingo District, and finds widespread disparities in access to health care with the lack of health facilities, poor state of existing facilities and the lack of ambulances and emergency services. Failure to address these disparities disproportionately affects women and poor people living in remote areas.
